Deloris Woods

WELLSVILLE - Deloris M. Woods, 78 of Florence Drive, Wellsville, Ohio died in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on January 5, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Emmanuel S. and Mary V. (Costa) Cuneo.

Moving from Pittsburgh to Wellsville in 1958, she was a 1952 graduate of Perry High School in Pittsburgh. While living in Pittsburgh, she worked in the Federal Building. Following her move to Wellsville, she worked as a teller at the former Citizen Bank and Sky Bank before her retirement in 1992. Mrs. Woods was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was a volunteer at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Her husband, Kenneth D. Woods, whom she married on August 17, 1957, died on January 15, 2001.

Surviving her are her children: Kenneth M. Woods of Washingtonville, Ohio, Dr. Stephen T. Woods and his wife Heather of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Diane Mary Woods-Lenkey and her husband John of Beaver, Pa., and Mary Ann Neff and her husband Richard of New Cumberland, W.Va. as well as her grandson: Nicholas Ryan Woods of Wellsville, Ohio.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Albert and Stephen Cuneo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Parish in East Liverpool on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Charles Crumbley as Celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Wellsville.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Wellsville Chapel of Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m.
