Concerned yet?

Editor:

I am going to start my letter with, "To whom it may concern," because apparently in the village of Rogers no one is concerned, not even the law wants to get involved.

On Tuesday, May 29, my daughter-in-law pulled into the Save-A-Lot parking lot with her children in the car. Before she could even get out of her car, a woman approached her vehicle and started cursing at her and when my daughter-in-law did finally get out of her car the women got in her face continuing to yell and curse. Then when my daughter-in-law put her hand in front of her own face trying to ask for space, the other person, who I will not even call a lady, punched her in the face a couple of times.

When my daughter-in-law tried to turn away she was beat in the back of the head causing a concussion. Her face is swollen with a black eye. The woman has even threatened to kill my grandson.

The Negley ambulance came immediately and did a very good job, but when the town police were called it was a "no show." When the sheriff was called, it was again a "no show."

So where is the protection that we pay for? I know most of the time it is there ... but where was it on Tuesday?
