COLUMBIANA - Shirley Jean Sanders, 82, of 211 East Park Ave. died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.
Mrs. Sanders was born February 9, 1930 in Georgetown, a daughter of the late George and Mabel Armstrong Stuckey and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a member and past secretary of First Christian Church of Columbiana. She worked as a managing cosmetologist, owning her own salon for 52 years in Columbiana.
Her husband, Robert Ernest Sanders, preceded her in death May 5, 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Penny (Richard) Sanders-Susany of Columbiana; three sisters, Georgia Crowl of Lisbon, Beverly (John) Wharton of Barnesville and Becky Stuckey of Lisbon.
A brother, Bobbie Stuckey, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Mr. Clarence Mansfield, minister, officiating. Private burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery on Tuesday. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
