EAST PALESTINE - Harold Bartholow, 84, of Alice Street, passed away Tuesday at his residence.
Mr. Bartholow was born December 5, 1927 in Butler Township, Columbiana County, a son of the late Ralph Emerson and Mary Allen Bartholow, and had resided in the East Palestine for many years. He and his wife, the former Edith Torrence, had owned and operated Edith's Pizza for years, until retiring some years ago.
He was a member of the Potter's Camp, the New Waterford Eagles and the Loyal Order of Moose 467, East Palestine.
His wife, Edith, whom he married Sept. 25, 1953, preceded him in death on August 10, 1996, as had his daughter, Catherine Slovak. His stepmother, Dorothy V. Bartholow, whose home he was raised in, had also preceded him in death.
He is survived by two brothers, Arley and Ralph Bartholow, both of Columbiana, and a sister, Twila Weisenberger, Hampton, Va.; and two granddaughters, Amanda and Angela of Georgetown, Tx.
Services are not being observed. Arrangements were with Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home.
