LISBON - Christina Marie Brown and Joseph Shylo Carnes are announcing their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Paula Brown, Parma. She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in early childhood education and is currently employed by Columbiana County Head Start.
Her fiance is the son of Louis and Jackie Horvath, Lisbon; and Nathan Carnes, East Rochester. He graduated from ETI Technical College with a degree in electronic engineering and is employed by National Heat Exchange.

The couple is planning a 2 p.m. May 12 private wedding at the Boardman Park Gazebo. Invitations will be issued for the reception at the Salem Saxon Club.
