I am writing in regards to the heroic events that took place in the East End of East Liverpool that ended in a nightmare for the family of a young baby.
I read articles covering the great acts of police officers, firemen, a dispatcher and those waiting to work on the baby at the hospital. It was an incredible effort by all and we are all lucky to have those in our community who will step up and go above and beyond. So thank you to them.
But I feel in this case the real hero was the father. I could never imagine nor do I want to know what one goes through with the loss of a child. They say God does not give us more than we can bear. At times life might seem trying but we can't give up. Have faith and believe.
