MACEDONIA - Dennis and Andrea Pylypiak, Macedonia, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katherine Pylypiak, to Benjamin Detwiler, son of Samuel and Monica Detwiler, Columbiana.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Nordonia High School. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Youngstown State University in 2009, and a master's of occupational therapy from Cleveland State University in 2011.
Her fiance is a 2005 graduate of South Range High School. He earned bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and accounting and business administration from Youngstown State University in 2011. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in electrical engineering at Stanford University.

The couple is planning a March 31 open wedding ceremony at the United Methodist Church of Macedonia. Invitations are being extended for an evening reception at the SYB Hall in Stow.
