Have a safe Super Bowl Sunday celebration

It's Super Bowl Sunday again, and much to the chagrin of many tri-state area football fans, neither the Steelers nor the Browns will be playing tonight.

However, not having the team they support playing in the game doesn't keep many people from the celebrating the day anyway. It is, after all, the biggest football game of the year.

If you choose to party during tonight's game, we hope you'll keep a few things in mind for a safe Super Bowl Sunday.

This Sunday has become one of the deadliest drunk driving days of the year. According to the National Traffic Highway Safety Administration, almost half of all traffic deaths on Super Bowl Sunday are from drunk driving.

The Columbiana County Family Recovery Center urges you to remember that you can be held liable if you serve alcohol to a driver who ends up being involved in a drunk-driving accident. FRC also reminds drivers to always buckle up. Wearing a seat belt is always your best defense against other impaired drivers.
