MARIETTA Frank and Susan Vallera, Marietta are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Vallera, to Joel Thompson, son of Franklin and Cheryl Thompson, East Palestine.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School and a 2010 graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in computer science engineering. She is employed by the Walt Disney Animation Studios, Burbank, Calif.
Her fiance is a 2005 graduate of East Palestine High School and a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He is currently employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington, W.Va.
