Editor:
I am writing this letter to all the residents of the Beaver Local School District. I would like to encourage you to attend one of the town hall meetings that are going to be held at each school building.
The Rogers school meeting is at 6 p.m. this Thursday, Jan. 12, in the school's multi-purpose room.
The main topics of discussion are the upcoming bond issue and the future of our schools. It was reported in the newspaper Dec. 14 that school officials stated that "if the bond issue passes, we'll be able to keep Rogers Elementary open. If the bond issue fails, Rogers will be closed and its students split between Calcutta and West Point."
I am a concerned graduate, teacher and resident of the district. Please try to attend one of these important meetings concerning our district.
