LISBON - Pastor and Mrs. John H. Bartholomew, 42121 state Route 517, Lisbon, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 9. The couple's family recently threw them surprise dinner at the Taste of Country.
Ruth Ann Culler became the bride of John Henry Bartholomew on Dec. 9, 1951 at the Alliance Church of Christ, with Pastor Jess Nutter officiating. The grooms brother and wife, Richard and Maxine Bartholomew, were best man and matron of honor. Bridesmaid was groom's sister Jean Bartholomew; ushers were bride's brothers, Melvin and Wilford Culler, and the groom's uncle, Paul Metzler.
Mr. Bartholomew has served in the ministry for 48 years and is pastor of Zion Hill Church of the Brethren in Columbiana, where Mrs. Bartholomew serves as secretary.
