CALCUTTA - Daniel and Debbie Simms, Bell School Road, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie Marie Simms, to Joseph David Spurlock, son of Bill Spurlock, Belleview, Fla., and Tammie Spurlock, Lisbon.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Beaver Local High School and is currently studying nursing at Kent State. She is employed at Crossroads at Beaver Creek in Calcutta.
Her fiance is a 2002 graduate of Beaver Local High School. He is currently employed as a corrections officer at Corrections Corporation of America in Hubbard.
