COLUMBIANA - Penny Garrett and David Downey are announcing their engagement and forth coming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Beverly and Danny Garrett, Leetonia. She is a 1994 graduate of East Palestine School and is a caregiver at Whispering Pines Assisted Living Facility in Columbiana.
Her fiance is the son of Shirley and Richard Downey, East Palestine. He is a 1984 graduate of East Palestine High School and is a supervisor at Dillion Products in Middlefield.
The couple is planning a Dec. 24 wedding at Faith Chapel Fellowship in Salem with a small reception to follow.
