Golden year for East Palestine couple

EAST PALESTINE - Mr. and Mrs. Jack Falk, Bye Road, celebrated their 50th anniversary with a on Sept. 17 at the New Waterford Eagles. The surprise celebration was hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Amy Falk.

The former Jean Robb, daughter of the late Ed and Nell Robb, married Jack Neil Falk, son of the late Wilbur and Thelma Falk, on Sept. 15, 1961 at the Zion Lutheran Church, New Waterford. Pastor Aaron Anderson officiated the ceremony. The late Ruth (Robb) Grossen, sister of the bride; and the late Jerry Falk, brother of the groom, stood for the couple.

Mr. Falk worked for Crucible Steel, Midland, Pa., prior to becoming a truck driver. He retired from Quaker State Inc.

Mrs. Falk is a homemaker.

They have two sons, Jack (Amy) Falk and Jeffrey Falk, all of East Palestine; and five grandchildren.
