WELLSVILLE - Duane and Judy Duck, Wellsville, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Andrea Duck, to Damon Newell, son of Bernard and Cynthia Newell, Concordia, Kan.; and the late Brenda Newell.
The bride-elect graduated from Southern Local High School in 1997 and received a bachelor's degree in music education from Ohio University in 2002. She also earned a master's in music education from OU in 2009. She most recently worked as the band director at Licking Valley Local Schools, Newark.
Her fiance is a 1995 graduate of Concordia High School and received degrees in music education and saxophone performance from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kan., in 2002. He is currently the band director at Blue Valley-Randolph Public Schools, Randolph, Kan.
