GALION - Michael and Brenda Kocher, Galion, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Heather Marie Kocher, to Samuel Robert Baer, son of Beverly Cline, New Waterford; and the late Jim Baer.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School and a 2010 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture communications. She is employed by Huntington Bank.
Her fiance is a 2006 graduate of Crestview High School and a 2010 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture business. He is employed as an auctioneer at Rogers Community Auction Inc. and Baer Auctioneers LLC.

The couple is planning an Oct. 22 wedding at the First Lutheran Church in Galion. A private reception with invitations issued will follow at St. Joseph's Activity Center in Galion.
