The 10th anniversary of 9-11 is fast approaching, and I will, as I have for the past nine years, go to New York City for the ceremony. This means I will miss all the local ceremonies that are bring planned.
This newspaper has asked for you to share your thoughts and memories of that terrible day and I would like to extend an additional invitation to all organizations, clubs, churches, schools and local governments that are going to host a ceremony, to send me copies of speeches, videos, and pictures (with the people clearly named) so that I can forward them to the 9-11 Museum in New York where they will be displayed with other articles of Catherine Salter.
The museum is very interested in what people have to say and remember, especially from an area where one of the victims lived.
Catherine was raised in Wellsville, but during her high school sports career she played against many of the neighboring schools, perhaps even with one of your children, and any pictures or newspaper clippings would be what they are looking for.
I appreciate your taking the time to do this and I will acknowledge each and every piece that I receive. There is no time limit as to when you can send the information to me. Please send to Eleanor Salter, 9296 state Route 45, Lisbon, Ohio 44432.
