WARREN Richard and Barbara Simon, Warren, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Johnna Frances Simon, to Richard V. Matulja, son of Richard and Traci Matulja; New Waterford; and Michael and Brenda Korchnak, Columbiana.
The bride-elect graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Miami of Ohio and earned a master's in media arts from Emerson College, Boston. She is employed as area director of communications and technology at Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, W.Va.
Her fiance is a PFC in the 290th engineering detachment of the Ohio Army National Guard in Ravenna and is an associate manager for Applebees, Charlestown, W.Va. He is also pursuing a degree in construction engineering at Ohio State University.
