Cramers observe golden year

SALEM - Jack and Ruth Cramer of Salem will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an open house, hosted by their children and grandchildren at 1 p.m. July 2 at the Salem VFW.

The former Ruth Mayhew-McNeal, daughter of the late Robert and Naomi Mayhew, married Jack Cramer, son of the late Jack and Esther Cramer on July 2, 1961.

Mr. Cramer retired as a machinist from the former Eljer Plumbingware in 1982. He was also the owner of Cramer Appliance Repair until 2000.

Mrs. Cramer was an attendant at the Southeast Laundromat and a homemaker.

The couple have eight children, Kay Williams, Massillon; Karen (Ray) Griggy, Phylis (Steve) Smith, all of Leetonia; Dale (Lisa) Cramer, Salem; Tom and Tim Cramer, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and Jackie Andrason, Raleigh, N.C. They also had a son Randy McNeal, who is deceased; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The couple requests no gifts.
