EAST PALESTINE - Mr. and Mrs. Paul Powers, East Palestine, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at a local restaurant.
The former Martha Jane Linzey, daughter of the late Les and Elta Linzey, married Paul Powers, son of the late Harry and Martha Powers, at her parents' home, Big Beaver, Pa. The Rev. Dwight Townsend, Chippewa Methodist Church, performed the ceremony.
Mr. Powers worked as a blacksmith at Mountaineer Racetrack.

Mrs. Powers was a teacher in East Palestine schools.
They have four sons, 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
