Ashley Marie Thompson weds Justin S. Shilot

SALINEVILLE- Ashley Marie Thompson became the bride of Justin Sullivan Shilot on Sept. 25 at Calvary United Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Christine Thompson, Salineville.

The groom is the son of Paul Shilot and Marguerite Shilot, both of Wellsville.

The 3:00 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Pastor Mary Anne Frischkorn.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride, wore a white satin A-line gown with beaded lace applique and cut-out-lace hem with a chapel train. Her white veil featured pearls, beads and sequin embellishments and was secured by a scroll design comb accented by pearl cluster and Swarovski rhinestone crystals. She carried a bouquet of hot pink gerber daisies, hot pink roses and white alstroemeria.

Amanda Thompson, sister of the bride, Boardman; served as maid of honor in a black, satin, strapless ball gown. In matching gowns were bridesmaids Kimberly Strabley, cousin of the bride, Salineville; Kelly Carpenter, Salesville; and Dana Unger, Elko, NV.

Jesse Shilot, brother of the groom, Wellsville; served as best man. Groomsmen were Jared Shilot, brother of the groom; Bill Watson, both of Wellsville; and David Redig, Boardman.

Music was provided by M.J. Ludwig and Phylicia Winland. A reading was given by Sarah Crowell, cousin of the bride.

A reception for 280 guests followed at Antone's Banquet Centre, Boardman.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Casa de Emanuel, East Liverpool.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Southern Local High School and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in communications from Bethany College in 2006. She is employed at Youngstown State University.

The groom is also a 2002 graduate of Southern Local High School and graduated cum laude with a degree in telecommunications from Youngstown State University in 2007. He is employed at WKBN-TV.

After a cruise to the Bahamas and a stay in Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla., the couple resides in Boardman.
