EAST PALESTINE - Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson, East Palestine, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a brunch hosted by Mrs. Thompson's sisters and brothers and TJ's, Boardman. A family party in St. Clairsville was also held in their honor. They will also be honored during the summer by their children in the Outer Banks.
The former Theresa Ross married William Thompson on Dec. 31, 1960 at Our Lady of Lourdes rectory, East Palestine. Monsignor Joseph M. Heid officiated.
Mr. Thompson served in the U.S. Air Force being stationed in Spain and Montana. He was employed by Adamson Tank Co. in Pennsylvania, and later served as manager for NewVision Cable TV, New Martinsville, W.Va. for over 20 years.

Mrs. Thompson also worked for NewVision Cable TV and for Herriott Trucking Company, East Palestine.
The couple have four children: Lynann Heise, St. Louis, Mo.; William (Angela) Thompson; Paul (Daniele) Thompson; and Ross (Lisa) Thompson, all of St. Clairsville. They also have eight grandchildren.
