SALEM -Tom and Sue Drotleff, Tower Road, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melanie Drotleff, to Mike Hughes, son of Audrey Hughes, Kannapolis, N.C.; and the late Robert Hughes.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of United Local High School and a 2006 graduate of Mount Union University. She is a seventh grade language arts teacher and coach at Ridge Road Middle School, Charlotte, N.C.
Her fiance is a computer systems engineer for Sonic Automotive, Charlotte, N.C.
