Golden year for Minerva couple

MINERVA -Wayne and Irene Carman, Minerva, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party hosted by their children and spouses at the Pottery City Restaurant, on Aug. 14.

The former Irene Beverly, daughter of Robert and Edna Beverly, married Wayne Carman, son of John and Midge Carman, on July 29, 1960 at the Beverly home, Salineville. The Rev. Paul Sopp performed the ceremony.

Mr. Carman retired in 2004 from PCC, Minerva after 41 years of service.

Mrs. Carman also retired from PCC, Minerva, in 2004 after 14 years of service.

They have two children Mrs. Keith (Arlene) Grimm, East Liverpool; and Wayne (Kimberly) Carman, Hanoverton. They also have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
