EAST PALESTINE - Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ross Hays, Jimtown Road, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 22.
The former Toni Gorby, daughter of the late Theodore "Fuzz" and Mildred Gorby, became the bride of Michael Hays, son of Clarence "Bud" and the late Ruth Hays, on July 22, 1960 at the Negley United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hays retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.

They are members of the East Palestine Moose.
The couple have two children Mrs. Tim (Carrie) Workman and Mrs. Steve (Chris) Walker, both of East Palestine. They also have three granddaughters.
A celebration in their honor, hosted by their children, will be at the East Palestine Community Center from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, July 18. The couple ask that gifts be omitted.
