Salem couple celebrates 25 years

SALEM - Mr. and Mrs. Ronald White, Somerset Drive, celebrated their 25th anniversary with over 50 friends and family at the Pembrooke Villa Clubhouse, Salem on Jan. 3.

The former Judy Leipper (Harrold), daughter of the late Delmar and Jane Harrold, Elkton, married Ronald White, son of the late Bob and Gloria White, Calcutta, on Dec. 29, 1984, at the Salem Elks by the Rev. Ronald Gerlack, friend of the bride's mother. They are the only couple to be married at the lodge.

A Vietnam Marine veteran, Mr. White lived in Maryland for 15 years working for NASA and Wanz Electric. He moved to Ohio in 1983 and worked for Berlin Electric, retiring out of the Youngstown IBEW Electrical Union as a certified commercial/residential electrician.

Mrs. White is currently employed part-time by Firestone Healthcare Inc., Damascus, where she has worked for 20 years. Semi-retired, she has worked at Harrold Tool Co., NRM and Salem Music Centre. She is also recording secretary and docent for the Salem Historical Society.

They were active in Salem Elks, where Mr. White is a past exalted ruler and current trustee. They are also 1963 graduates of Beaver Local High School.
