Jayn Simpson

NEW WATERFORD - Mrs. Jayn S. Simpson, 69, of 3253 Creek Road, Lot 113, passed away Sunday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, shortly after admission.

Mrs. Simpson was born May 15, 1940, in Salem, a daughter of the late James and Pauline Pierce Rudloff, and was a life resident of the East Palestine and New Waterford areas, and was a 1958 graduate of East Palestine High School.

She had been employed with the Ohio License Bureau in East Palestine, and later Lisbon, for 15 years, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband, James A. Simpson, whom she married Aug. 25, 1958. She also leaves a son, J. Douglas Simpson, East Palestine, and three daughters, Laurie Flowers and Shannon Jones, both of New Waterford, and Jody Wong, Houston, Texas. She also leaves six grandchildren; three sisters, Sue Straley, Columbiana, Kay Hrenko, Darlington, Pa., and Betty Ann Ross, Conover, N.C., and two brothers, James S. Rudloff, Poland, and Michael C. Rudloff, Columbiana.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at St. Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana.

Arrangements were with the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine.
