Richard Reese

NEW WATERFORD - Richard Carl "Dick" Reese, 64, of 1065 Beard Road, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday at the Salem Community Hospital.

Mr. Reese was born February 18, 1945 in Salem, a son of the late William Carl and Virginia Dulin Reese and lived in this area all of his life. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Woodworth Church of the Brethren.

He had been the co-owner of Sparkle Markets in Boardman and East Palestine for 20 years. He enjoyed showing and hitching ponies at the Canfield Fair for many years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara A. Conkle, whom he married September 15, 1984; two step daughters, Tina (Bummer) McCoy of New Waterford and Cynthia Hubbard of East Palestine; and two grandchildren, Shayla Hubbard and Jordan McCague.

A sister, Barbara Nunez is deceased.

Friends may call at the family home at 1065 Beard Road, New Waterford from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2010.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
