Doris Veon-Hostetter

ENON VALLEY, Pa. - Doris Lee Veon-Hostetter, went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2009, at the age of 80.

She was born July 1, 1929 in Rochester, to the late Earl R. and Alice B. Cryder Veon, she attended the Chippewa Evangelical Free Church. She was a graduate of East Palestine High School in East Palestine, OH. Doris was a lifelong resident of Beaver County residing in Enon Valley, Chippewa Township and Darlington Township. She truly loved her family, life and her Lord and Savior. For over 30 years, Doris owned and operated Doris' Beauty Salon on Blackhawk Road in Chippewa Township and with her husband, founded the Hostetter Auction Company and Auction Exchange (Auction House) that was located at the corner of Rts 51 and 168 in Darlington. She was the head bookkeeper for Hostetter Auctioneers and Realtors, also a licensed real estate agent selling real estate for many years in PA and Ohio for her son Lee Hostetter Real Estate. In addition, she was the owner and manager of Valley View Mobile Home Park located in New Galilee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman E. Hostetter Sr. on July 10, 1996.

Surviving are two sons, Lee W. Hostetter and his wife Marjorie B., Darlington and Sherman E. Hostetter Jr. and his wife Kimberly, Brighton Twp.; six grandchildren, Lee Alan Hostetter Sr. and his wife, Nancy, Amber Lee Hostetter, all of Darlington Twp, Sherman Matthew Hostetter and his wife Cassandra, Kylee K. Hostetter-Reeder and her husband Daniel, Ashlee Paige Hostetter, all of Chippewa Twp, and Haley Rae Hostetter, Brighton Twp.; six great-grandchildren, Nicole Lee Hostetter, East Palestine, OH, Lee Alan Hostetter Jr., Darlington Twp, Peyton Grace, Daniel and Bennett Reeder and Eleana Lynn Hostetter, all of Chippewa Twp; and a great-great-grandson, Nolan Alan Hostetter, Darlington Twp. and four step-grandchildren, Katrina Arnouil, Alexa Springer, Tori Springer and Rebekah Cohen, all of Brighton Twp.

Friends will be received Saturday from 5 to 8 pm and Sunday 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm in the Lutton Chippewa Funeral Home, 117 Blackhawk Road, www.luttonfuneralhome.com, where services will be held Monday at 10 am with Rev. Matt Frey, of the Chippewa Evangelical Free Church, officiating.

Private interment will follow in Little Beaver Cemetery, Little Beaver Twp.
