Jack Kimble Sr.December 18, 2009HOMEWORTH - Jack R. Kimble Sr., age 62, died at Ohio Veterans Home, in Sandusky, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, following a long illness. Jack was born June 24, 1947, in Waynesburg, Pa., to Russell D. and Helen (Hennen) Kimble. He was honorably discharged from the Navy, and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the DAV and the VFW Post 1036 in Alliance. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Catherine (Austin) Kimble; one daughter, Heidi Kimble of Alliance; one son, Jack (Carrie) Kimble Jr. of Sykesville, Md.; five sisters, Clara Kimble of Massillon, Helen Sue Picknell of Louisville, Bonnie (Ron) Ferry of Warren, Jeannette (Ron) Carlile of Limaville, Carol Sue (Bryan) Mikes of East Canton; eight brothers, Marvin (Lurena) Kimble of East Rochester, Roger Kimble of Helpe, Utah, Ted (Cathy) Austin of Sandusky, Vincent Austin of Enoree, S.C., Russell (Diana) Austin of Alliance, David (Trisha) Austin of Alliance, Karl (Barbara) Austin of Jonesville, S.C., Harold (Darla) Austin of Homeworth; two grandchildren, Britanie Kimble, of the home, and Ryenne Kimble of Sykesville, Md.; 37 nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, one sister, Mary Martha Kimble, preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at First Christian Church, 1141 W. Beech St., Alliance, with the Rev. Pam Bruno officiating. Calling hours will be from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations for medical expenses may be sent to Buckeye State Credit Union 1731 W. State St., Alliance, Ohio.
