TORONTO - Anna Rose Tye, 94, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio.
Anna was born Feb. 6, 1915, in Washington County, Pa., daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Kadlub) Barborak.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto, Ohio, where she was a very active member over the years.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Tye, Sr. who passed away in 1996; her son, Nicholas "Nick" Tye, Jr. who passed away January 2009; six brothers, Michael, John, Joseph, George, Steve and Tom; three sisters, Mary Ross, Helen and Pauline Barborak.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Roberts of Columbus, Ohio; son, John (Jan) Tye of Mason, Ohio; sister, Veronica Wolsky of West Point, Ohio; five grandchildren, Timothy Tye, Jim Roberts, Cynthia Tye, Jennifer (Chad) Rexroad, Jill (Paul) Holzen; five great-grandchildren, Matthew and Anna Tye, Tyler Bond, Wilson Roberts and Connor Rexroad.
Visitation for Anna will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, Ohio, where there will be a Parastas Service held at 7:30 p.m. There will be a prayer service held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with a Solemn Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto, with the Rev. James Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
