Ottelia Ford

EAST PALESTINE -Mrs. Ottelia "Tillie" Ford, 95, of 1043 Bacon Ave., passed away at her residence at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009.

She was born Feb. 1, 1914, in New Waterford, a daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Shunk Luek.

A life resident of the area, she had been employed as a seamstress at the former Kenmar Division of Ethan Allen for 40 years, retiring in 1979.

Tillie was a member of the New Waterford Lutheran Church.

Her husband, William G. Ford, whom she married June 21, 1934, preceded her in death May 13, 1999.

She is survived by a son, John E. Ford, Morgantown, W.Va.; four grandchildren, John (Julie) Ford, Christina (Matthew) Joseph, Courtnie Higgins and Cathleen (Jason) Reighart, and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Zion Lutheran Church of New Waterford. Burial will be in New Waterford Cemetery.
