Christopher Atkinson

SALEM - Christopher Louis Atkinson, age 50, 317 Washington Ave., Salem, died Monday morning in the Emergency Room of the Salem Community Hospital.

He was born Dec. 11, 1958, in Salem, the son of the late James Vance and Clara Mae (Bowers) Atkinson.

Mr. Atkinson had been employed as a salesman/deliveryman at the Country Saw & Knife for four years.

He was a member of the Sons of AMVETS and was a 1978 graduate of Leetonia High School.

Survivors include his lifetime partner, Carol Jackson of Salem; a sister, Linda Janofa of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Raymond Atkinson of Washingtonville; and a goddaughter, Brandi Brown of Salem.

Preceding him in death was a brother, James A. Atkinson, and a son, Christopher W. Atkinson.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home.

Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washingtonville Cemetery.
