Heather R. Evans marries Roosevelt M. Kirby Jr.

EAST LIVERPOOL - Heather R. Evans became the bride of Roosevelt M. Kirby Jr. at 3:30 p.m. May 9 at the Second Baptist Church in a ceremony officiated by Pastor Ernest E. Peachey.

The bride is the daughter of Mitchell and Cheryl Evans, East Liverpool.

The groom is the son of Deborah Wall, East Liverpool, and Roosevelt and Lori Kirby Sr., Midland, Pa.

The bride escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore an ivory strapless A-line gown featuring intricate embroidery of flowers and vines. She carried a bouquet of navy blue roses and white babies breathe.

Amber Evans, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor in a navy blue strapless dress. In silver strapless dresses with navy blue sash were bridesmaids, Stephanie Thrasher, cousin of the bride, Amanda Evans, sister of the bride, and Amy Harris, cousin of the bride.

John Danver, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Troy Chisom, Donnel Sallis and Ryan Lara. Edward Whitson, uncle of the groom, and Bruce Harris, cousin of the bride, were ushers.

A reception attended by approximately 150 people was held at the East Liverpool American Legion.

The couple resides in East Liverpool.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
