Erika Sue Brewer marries Mark Birmingham Jr.

COLUMBIANA-Erika Sue Brewer became the bride of Mark Birmingham Jr. in an outdoor ceremony on Aug. 29 at the Dutch Village Inn Gazebo. Columbiana Mayor David Spatholt performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Jody Brewer, Lisbon.

The groom is the son of Mark and Donna Birmingham Sr., Leetonia.

The bride escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents wore an ivory satin A-line halter gown with split front, beaded lack modesty panel, and corset back. It was embellished with beaded lace appliques, a champagne sash with matching beaded appliques and chapel length train. She also wore a rhinestone headband and an ivory elbow length veil with champagne ribbon edge. The bride also wore an antique dinner ring belonging to her grandmother. She carried a bouquet of ivory hydrangias, pink roses, white alstro tied with a champagne ribbon.

Serving as maid of honor in a tea length truffle dress with beaded straps was Kristina Owen, Lisbon. In matching dresses of truffle or champagne were bridesmaids Melissa Brewer, sister-in-law of the bride, Hanoverton, Melissa Birmingham, sister of the groom, Youngstown, April Leyman, Lisbon, and Jane Borg, Ft. Myers, Fla., cousins of the bride, and Amanda Brady, Leetonia. Megan Brewer, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

Matthew Hill, Leetonia, performed the duties of best man. Groomsman were Jason Wenderoth, Salem, Tad Herold, brother-in-law of the groom, Youngstown, Richard Brewer, Hanoverton, and Corey Brewer, Westerville, brothers of the bride, and David Abbadi, nephew of the bride, Hanoverton. Nathan Brewer, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Readings were given by Justin Hall, New York, and Amanda Thompson, East Palestine.

Approximately 185 guests attended a reception at the Dutch Village Inn. A rehearsal dinner given by the groom's parents was held at DH Art Gallery, Salem.

After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Guilford Lake.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of the Hannah E. Mullins School of Nursing and is employed as an LPN at Briarfield Manor, Austintown.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of NJACT. He is employed as an electrician with Gulu Electric, Youngstown.
