SALEM - Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Ray) Smith, Adams Avenue, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 17.
The former Janet Manypenny wed Paul Smith on Oct. 17, 1959 at the Bunker Hill Methodist Church by Rev. Fotia.
Mr. Smith is a former restauranteur and works part time for the Morning Journal.

Mrs. Smith is retired from Blackhawk Plastics.
They are active members of the First Methodist Church of Salem.
The couple have a daughter Linda (Roy) Johnson, Damascus, and a son Larry (Elaine) Smith, Ocala, Fla. They also have four grandsons and three granddaughters.
