EAST PALESTINE - Roger B. Gillam, 55, of 2763 Bacon Ave., went to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:50 p.m. Friday at the Hospice House, Poland, where he had been a patient.
Roger was born September 6, 1954 in Waverly, OH, a son of Roberta "Jo" Porter Gillam and the late Earon Gillam. He had been employed as a sales representative with A.M. Door of North Jackson, and had also owned and operated Custom Upholstery for over thirty years.
He was a member of the Greenford Christian Church.
In addition to his mother of New Waterford, he is survived by his wife, the former Gayle Kirtley, whom he married October 4, 1974; two sons, Wade G. Gillam, at home, Matthew J. (Laura) Gillam, New Waterford, and a grandchild due in April. Roger also leaves a brother, Bryce L. (Anita) Gillam, Columbiana, a sister, Jackie (Richard) Hays, Rogers; and several nieces and nephews..
A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Greenford Christian Church Building D, with Sean Kelly, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service. Arrangements were with the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home.
