CALCUTTA - Mr. and Mrs. William L. Haywood Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on Sept. 6 at the Dutch Village Inn.
The party was hosted by their children. Included among the guests were bridesmaid Catherine Kinney, Akron, maid of honor Patricia Marquess, Doylestown, best man Patrick Haywood, Green Valley, Ariz., and groomsman Ted Kaiser, Stow.
The couple were married on Sept. 5, 1959 in Akron.

Mr. Haywood is employed at the Homer Laughlin China Company, Newell, W.Va.
Mrs. Haywood is a homemaker.
They have four children, William (Dorothy) Haywood Jr., Wellsville, Tracy Haywood, Calcutta, Jennifer (Wes) Smith, Negley, and Rachel (David) Ulbright, Lisbon, and eight grandchildren.
