WELLSVILLE - William P. and Velma (Wilson) Barker recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the home of Randy and Trudy (Barker) Andrews, Lake Tomahawk.
The couple were married Aug. 19, 1943 at the Daniel General Hospital Chapel, Danville, Ky., with Chaplain Wylie J. Steen performing the ceremony. Margaret Culp, Wellsville, and Artie Humphrey, Dayton were attendants.
Mr. Barker is a retired businessman.
Mrs. Barker is a retired secretary.
They are members of the First Christian (Disciples of Christ) in Steubenville, where they are active in Centry Sunday School and CMF Mission Group. Mr. Barker is an elder in the church and is a 33 degree Mason. They are both active in Masonic Bodies and the Shrine in Wheeling.
The couple have a daughter, Trudy (Randy) Andrews; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
