BELOIT - Elizabeth Sarah Butch, age 83, of 409 North St., Beloit, died at 12:17 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, at Alliance Community Hospital.

She was born Nov. 10, 1925, in Franklin Square, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Homer Lafayette and Annie (Wilms) Baird.

Before her retirement in 1992, she had worked for TRW Metals & PCC Metals in Minerva for 26 years. Previously she had worked for the Salem China, the French Saxon China in Sebring.

She had attended Leetonia High School and was a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Salem Eagles Auxiliary and the Salem Slovak Club.

Survivors include two sons, John Butch Jr. of Beloit and Vincent (Gaylene) Butch of Alliance, and two grandchildren, Kevin (Sarah) Butch and Bret (Tara) Butch.

Her husband, John Butch Sr., whom she married Sept. 11, 1948, preceded her in death on March 12, 1986. She was also preceded by eight brothers, five sisters, and two infants.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Dyer officiating. Burial will be at the Highland Memorial Park.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
