SALEM -John and Jane Stoffer will celebrate their 50th anniversary April 4.
The couple was married at the Congregational Church in Burrville, N.Y. John is the son of the late Leland and Elizabeth Grove Stoffer, Salem. Jane is the daughter of the late Elmer and Violet Gingerich Bast, Rutland, N.Y.
Mr. Stoffer retired from General Motors, Lordstown in 1999 after 30 years.

Mrs. Stoffer retired from contract counseling in 2005.
They are members of the First Presbyterian Church in Salem.
The couple has three children Laurie Stoffer Bliven, Louisville, Ky; Diane (Dan) Stoffer Rogers, Cohutta, Ga; and Eric (Annabel) Stoffer, Lakewood; and four grandchildren.
They will celebrate their anniversary by hiking in national parks during the late summer.
