Waterford couple marks 40th year

NEW WATERFORD — Mr. and Mrs. Melvin H. Lehman, Crestview Road, celebrated 40 years of marriage at an open house from noon-4 p.m. March 29 at Pleasant View Mennonite School.

The former Jeanette Bricker, daughter of Harry and Dorothy Bricker, Chambersburg, Pa., became the bride of Melvin H. Lehman, son of Paul and Carrie Lehman, Salem, March 23, 1968 in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Robert E. Witter in Chambersburg, Pa.

Mr. Lehman is a self-employed contractor, Lehman Pole Building.

Mrs. Lehman is a secretary in her husband’s business.

Both are members of Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church and are both Sunday school teachers. Mr. Lehman retired from New Waterford Fire Department.

The couple have two daughters Mrs. Byron (Melissa) Manners, Taiwan, and Mrs. Casey (Deborah) McEwen, New Waterford.

Guests attended from Pennsylvania and Virginia.
