It is QUITE possible that all members of council are either brain dead, retarded or just plain stupid!!!These dumba s ses would cut their noses off to spite their face... Take them to court then watch the Bankruptcy quickly unfold... Hey Lisbon Council, I think I'm going to sue you for Violation of the Sunshine Laws! Idiots!!!!

Appears council is getting faulty advice and making poor decisions because of this. Perhaps they need to look elsewhere for legal advice.

The contractor responsible for severing the line should be liable, but it should be Lisbon's resposibility to pursue the contractor. The Mullens have done nothing wrong, and do not deserve the runaround by council. Quit this B.S. and do the right thing!! If attorneys get involved, Lisbon will get trounced in court, and rightly so!!

Did Lisbon village council violate the state's Sunshine Law by going into executive session? The law says council can only go into executive session to discuss "pending or imminent" court action. Mrs. Mullen said they have not yet retained an attorney and don't plan on getting one. It's hard to imagine how, in view of this, court action is "pending or imminent". This is why people hate government. Rather than do what's right, and rather than follow the law, council members circle their wagons and hide behind them. This secrecy is exactly what the Sunshine Law was designed to prevent. When will someone -- are you listening Morning Journal? -- do something about these violations when the various councils do this?

Reason number 1 million to despise government at any level. Lisbon government creates the problem then expects the victims of their mistake to pay for it. The Mullen's have be patient and professional with Lisbon council and in return the council has all but told the Mullens to take a hike. The Mullens need to hire the most aggressive attorney they can find and take Lisbon to the bank.
