Let's not live in the past. Who cares what was said 3 years ago. The power in the town wants this done. So its going to happen one way or another. It's going to be a great day in EP when my wife can look out of her classroom window and see an oil and gas company drilling away!

It seems to me there are a few board members who dont make such good decisions for this school.

I do not, as a rule, read these comments. I received a phone call a few minutes ago that I should check here. I have never commented here before, and I will not comment here again. But I want to set the record straight. Between 2 and 3 years ago I was told, directly by a school board member, that the board was looking into leasing district land. Until last week, I had neither heard nor read that anything had changed. My mistake was in continuing to believe the board still wanted to lease school district land, without checking first to see if board policy was now different. I apologize for any confusion I caused.

Does anyone actually read these articles before they comment on them? The article says that 3 years ago superintendent "Inchak advised the board he was going to talk to an attorney and speak with some oil and gas companies to see if any were interested in the roughly 48 acres of school land." Clearly an intent to try to lease the land at that time, but no one was interested. The article goes on to say ". . .the board has not discussed leasing since then." So see if I understand this: The last time the board discussed the issue it was to see if they could lease their land. How does that make what Cohen said a lie? Sounds to me, based on the only info out there, that there was every reason to think the school board was willing to lease their land. Because of that board discussion 3 years ago, most in town believed the board was willing to lease their land, right up until last week.

I'm sorry cruiser: I believe Alan said it was his mistake he heard wrong. He owned up to being human and he apologized, which is not something elzer has in him to do. elzer just flat out lies. Kudos to Alan for being honest!

Once again Alan Cohen not doing his research and just spreading rumors. Seems like this is a reoccurring problem with this guy. But for some reason people continue to believe his lies even after he is caught lying over and over.... Wake up people!!!!
