Commissioners not rushing to fill position

LISBON — Columbiana County commissioners are apparently taking their time filling a vacant position on the county Port Authority board....

Here is the pattern. First, let the other employees pick up any slack and use the open position as a way to consolidate power. While looking for the least experienced person, make it seem unimportant. After that dream up questions that have no purpose and set standards that look like you know what you are doing. Finally, find that person who will do as they are told the way you see it, not the actual job description. If the candidate still can't function after a year or so hire an underling to cover your tracks while using the media to make the people think everything is great. I think I covered it.

They really don't care who fills the position as long as they have political connections. Any kind of experience is a no-no on the port. Johnson is a son of a politician, Cooper is an insurance agent, Weigle was a politician, etc etc. I am not faulting these guys personally, just showing the examples
