The taxpayer gets hit with a double whammy because we not only pay the tax in the end, but we have to increase the subsidy to people that can't afford the higher energy prices. We need to quit spending money on stupid things like new bridges in Sprucevale and studies of route 30 and do the things that are needed to repair our existing infrastructure. Any added cost to anything gets passed to the consumer.
