Showme, the police department is the only department invited, to those things, as well as the only department whose budget was increased this year to hire more part time officers to work extra shifts, that aren't needed

STofit;

Possibly why someone has not opened their "destination restaurant" as was mention in a Vindy article last year!

Didn't the village move from a larger facility because the overhead was too expensive? One more building lost to a potential business, but for the life of me I can't figure why anyone would open a business in town.

Romeisburning, did you consider that the police department was the only one out of all the village departments who cared enough about the grand opening to actually attend and show support for all the good things that are happening in our community.

Notice the Mayor's remark of "running a city three times as large", wonder if it occurred to all the town could have been and should have been three times as large as it is now. All it required was being progressive, wanting to entice new major business and growth. However, personal agendas and that "bedroom community" was the main goal.

Interestingly enough it took longer to "dedicate" the new office, than the meeting lasted. Maybe this short meeting time should point to the fact meetings need to be longer to address the many problems and issues that exist in the community. Most communities' meetings last an hour.

can accommodate a village 3 times our size...seems strange coming from council members who don't want it to grow....
