Melissa Gorby is my cousin and regardless of wearing a seatbelt she would still be alive if ashley clark would not have dozed off at the wheel and come across the yellow line and hit her. Melissa was not driving the car she was a passenger and was ejected from the car.Ashley needs to man up and face the fact the she is at fault for taking my cousins life and leaving my other cousin in a wheelchair. Its been a year an a half and she is still out free living her life as if she hasnt taken a beautiful life. She took a mother from her son and has no remorse what so ever for it. And as far as the justice system of columbiana county its a joke. Ashley caused a accident had no car insurance killed one almost 2 people and refused 2 drug test and still had her drivers license and then one week later caused another accident where her own daughters leg was broke.I hope we will get justice for my beautiful cousin Melissa Kay Gorby she didnt deserve to die.

I know this article had my blood boiling! So instead of dying she would have been left permanently disabled! and the fact that Ms. Clark REFUSED any sort of testing for drugs or alcohol! and these are public defenders right? Shame SHAME on her too!

"I have serious doubts if we would have a dead person if she had been wearing her seat belt." Using the same logic would it be OK to burn someones home because it is made of wood? This woman would still be alive if Ms Clark was paying attention to her driving. The fault lies 100% with Ms Clark and when it goes to trial I hope the jury sees that she is properly punished. Lawyers playing games is the major reason for a lot of our problems today.
