ou812ic: When did anyone on council or in administrative positions ever listen to constituents? Keep sleeping in your bedroom community as long as you want. Someday when you all wake up, it'll be gone, long gone!

First off, the originating mine/loading area is responsible for the spraying. Strike ONE! The railroad can require it to be applied but usually it isn't requested. If it was applied, it would make a difference. Strike TWO! Third, once again, lets focus on getting more revenue into the town with business! After reading the article the other day it looks like Columbiana is getting another plaza built on Firestone Farms. It will even be partly in Unity Township! So, me thinks the administration of East Palestine needs to really start focusing on long term business GROWTH! Strike THREE! Now, get your heads out of the sand at start doing the jobs you were appointed and elected to do or the next dust problem will be from vacant streets!

I see they have contacted everyone but the railroad. Wouldn't that be the first contact? The railroad could easily drop the track speed for coal trains going through a town until the culprit mine is found. These trains are supposed to be sprayed when conditions warrant it. If the train is exposed to rain it will wash the surfactant from the loads and when the coal dries it will start to blow again. They try to get the coal from the mine to the power plants as quick as possible but the trains do get delayed due to lack of crews and track and traffic conditions. NS has a good relationship with all the communities that it traverses.

They never get it correct lets just blame the wrong person that is what EP always does. This town has very little income and they are not working on getting people to come here, instead we are bashing a company that has alot of workers living in this town paying income tax.

write the numbers and letters of 4 or 5 train cars (does not have to be engine number), have the date, and time also, and turn it in.

East Palestine has NOT done their homework! It is NOT the railroads's the mine itself that the coal comes from. THEY are the ones that are suppose to put the stuff on as it leaves the mine. I was told to get car numbers and letters and turn it in, then they can trace it back to the mine the coal came from, then that mine gets fined. Come on...EP, can't you even get this correct? Someone is NOT doing their job! As usual.
