My comment is, there seems to be much information missing from this article. Since when does a financial aid officer handle all the monies of an institution, normally financial aid staff aid in the filling out of applications and grants etc. Was there not a treasurer that is to oversee monies? Also was there a policy inplace to handle deposits so no one person handled monies? I know of no school that allows only one person to handle monies and if there are receipts it seems a little odd that monies are missing with receipts, and what is the discrepancy of the amounts listed. I just think there is much information missing here there is no comment from other staff members that also handled monies or a comment from the treasurer would be insightful before we try someone before all the facts are in.
